On the road again...... revised

We arrived back up north safe and sound and to pretty cold weather (for us).  Spent some time in Milton, Ontario which is near where our daughter lives.  Had various doctor appointments and visits to catch up on.  Several nice visits with our family, great to see them all, missed the grandkids.  I think they missed us a bit too!!! We celebrated every holiday we missed with them while we were gone so their house had decortions for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Valentines, St. Paddy’s, and of course April fools day (LOL SAM).
From there we went up north near Lindsay Ontario which is near Lake Simcoe area where we used to boat and spent several enjoyable months up there.  The weather was very hot and it was great.  We met up with several of our boating friends and had some great sleep overs and boating.  We were there until end of September and then went to Niagara Falls, Ontario for month of October, wanted a change of scenery.
We did the site seeing thing again around Niagara, the falls are still amazing, took a tour around the area by bus.  They have a bus line running from North of Lundy’s Lane downtown to various areas so you can buy a pass and stop where you want.  Limited time at this time of year but still a really great way to see stuff without having to park.  Downtown parking was $20.00 and passes were just a little more.  Since you know that Ken always wants two spots, we were better off with the bus!!

We did some visiting with my cousin Christine and husband Dan while here which was really great to catch up as well as having Thanksgiving dinner with them and a couple of their friends – greatly appreciated Cuz!

As we were getting ready to leave at end of October, we had quite a bit of rain in NIagara area and ended up with a mini flood on our site.  The rain came up around 4"- 5" up the front legs.  We had to clean up the catch basins and dig a little trench to get out.

We left end of October back to Milton as we had planned to leave for south on December 10, 2012.
So much for that great idea! It started getting cold, Ken had to put on  long pants so we changed our mind.  We brought Christmas with the Kids forward to November 18, 2012, finished visits and Dr. appointment and got ready to leave.  That Saturday, we went visiting friends in Pefferlaw and had snow - saw this on wayt and then said for sure, we are outta here!!!

We left Milton at 5:45 am Novebmer 26,th arrived in Berea, Ky around 5:30 pm on Monday, drizzly but not too cold, stayed overnight then headed out to Perry, Ga 9:00 am Tuesday, ran into some pretty heaving fog around Jellico but that did clear up and we arrived around 4:30 pm., and set up.
The temperature here is supposed to be in the low 70’s for this week so we are staying for this week.  Ken’s brother will be arriving here for a couple of days as well and they will then be off to Texas, while we will start heading to Florida.  The sun is out and warm and Ken has changed back to shorts again (did not take him long).

We are booked into Shady Acres RV park just south of Fort Myers on 41 Tamiami trail for December 15, until April 1st with option to stay longer, so we are taking our time to get down there.
So will be posting again for a while and look forward to hearing from you and having you read the blog – will post pictures as I get them going.
